2. Making An Appointment
Telephone lines (3) to the Health Centre are open at 0830-1730hrs Mon, Tues & Thurs, 0830-1700hrs Wed & 0800-1730hrs Friday. The doors are open at the same times.
GP Appointment times are available throughout the day from 0900hrs till 1300hrs & 1400hrs till 1700hrs (except Wednesday afternoons). Practice nurses also have booked appointments from 0900hrs-1300hrs & 1400hrs-1700hrs.
We would ask that when possible you try to book rather than turning up when you may have to wait to be seen. Should your own doctor be unavailable you will be offered an appointment with another doctor in the Practice.
If urgent and there are no immediate GP appointments we may ask that you first see a practice nurse who will assess the problem. Medical emergencies will always be dealt with as a priority.
Most young children, even if unwell, can be safely brought to the surgery for examination.
There is no Saturday morning surgery. Patients working away from home during the week can make a GP appointment by special arrangement. Emergencies on a Saturday and Sunday will be dealt with through the Hospital A & E Department.
3. House Calls
Please try to phone requests before 10 am. The receptionist will ask for brief details about the request to enable us to determine its degree of urgency. Emergencies will be dealt with immediately by the first available doctor.
We will arrange to visit housebound patients on request and can arrange domiciliary blood tests when required.
4. Out Of Hours / Emergencies
There is a doctor available every day, 24 hours a day. Should you require urgent medical attention please attend the Acute Unit of Campbeltown Hospital or telephone NHS 24 on 08454 242424.
5. Repeat Prescriptions: Call 550055
You can order a repeat prescription 24hrs a day on our designated prescription line.
- Please allow at least 2 complete week days before your prescription runs out.
- Please request all items which will run out over the next 2 weeks.
- Please allow 48 hours from ordering your prescription to collecting from chemist.
- Repeat prescription counterfoils can be used to order and be left in the box inside the surgery entrance.
6. Telephone Contact / Messages
GPs are unable to take calls when in surgery. We do have a telephone message system where patients can leave a message and the GP will normally return the call within one working day. Alternatively patients can call back either before or after surgery times when their GP may be available to take the call.

12. Travel Arrangements (Oban or Glasgow Clinics)
Please do not make surgery appointments to discuss travel arrangements, including escorts, without first discussing this with our reception staff. Hospital Reception desk staff organise and book flights and transport and will refer any problems back to the GP.
13. Patient Participation
If you wish to discuss any aspect of the service we provide, please contact Mrs Katie Ferguson, our Practice Manager or alternatively any GP.
14. Complaints Procedure

Any complaint should be addressed to Mrs Katie Ferguson, Practice Manager – or alternatively the GP of your choice.
15. Patient Rights & Responsibilities
